Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau takes part in popular hydrogen podcast series
The hydrogen market is developing at great speed. This offers many opportunities – but also presents companies with new challenges. Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau supports its customers in overcoming these challenges with test stands for testing a wide range of hydrogen components. Johannes Montag, Managing Director at PPM, reported in the podcast series “The Hydrogen Bar” on the first projects in the hydrogen sector and gave an outlook on future developments.
The podcast “The Hydrogen Bar” is hosted by hydrogen experts Martin Sekura and Johannes Rößner and is aimed at those working in the hydrogen sector as well as other interested parties. In discussions with practitioners and other industry leaders, the latest developments on the hydrogen market will be classified and technical progress evaluated. Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau is the first member of the P+P Group to take part in the podcast series. In two episodes, Johannes Montag gave interesting insights into the H2 focus at a specialist for test stands. Topics included the development of testing technology for hydrogen components, the history of PPM and the challenges posed by new types of technical customer requirements in the H2 sector.
Hydrogen test stands from Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau enable a variety of test types, such as in the area of pressure pulsation testing, pressure cycle testing, burst pressure testing and hydrostatic testing (fatigue testing). The test systems can be used in various component test set-ups. Some examples are: Shut-off valves, connection parts for tanks, flexible fuel lines, check valves, pressure regulators, pressure reducers, pressure relief and overpressure valves, flow sensors and sensors for detecting hydrogen leaks.
