Poppe + Potthoff as Host of the Event Series “Innovation in the Gütersloh Region”
Werther, 05.09.2025
Experiencing innovation, providing impulses, strengthening networks
On September 4th, Poppe + Potthoff (P+P) hosted the second event in the series “Innovation in the Gütersloh Region”. This series, organized by the regional economic development agency “pro Wirtschaft GT,” brings together entrepreneurs from the Gütersloh region to gain practical impulses and discuss innovative approaches for the future.
The event began with a factory tour followed by an impulse lecture from the host. Guests were given insights into modern development and manufacturing processes at Poppe + Potthoff. As an internationally active corporate group with a broad product portfolio of precision steel tubes, common-rail systems, precision and industrial couplings, test benches, as well as innovative system solutions for hydrogen applications, P+P demonstrated its expertise in various technology fields. How deeply innovation is anchored in P+P’s corporate culture was also underscored in 2025 by once again receiving the TOP 100 Innovation Award, in which Poppe + Potthoff was honored for the second time as one of Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies.
Practical Impulses from Fraunhofer IEM
Afterward, Judith Tusek from Fraunhofer IEM guided the participants through a practice-oriented workshop on change management. The focus was on concrete methods that help companies successfully implement change and foster acceptance for new developments among employees. In addition to the technical input, the event offered numerous opportunities for exchange: after the workshop, networking took center stage, allowing participants to share experiences and establish new contacts.
Innovation as a Driver of the Regional Economy
Innovation is not only evident in technological developments but also in the way companies shape change and involve their employees. The event at Poppe + Potthoff once again demonstrated the importance of open exchange between different companies. Practical insights, scientific input, and joint discussions provided impulses that contribute to advancing new ideas and sustainably strengthening the competitiveness of the regional economy.
