Poppe + Potthoff joins the Clean Energy Partnership
Werther, 10.02.2026
Poppe + Potthoff has become a new full member of the Clean Energy Partnership (CEP), the expert committee for hydrogen mobility. Following a six-month trial participation, the company is now actively contributing its specific expertise to the working groups of the independent and technology-neutral organization. The CEP brings together stakeholders from all areas of hydrogen mobility in road, rail, and industrial transport.
The Clean Energy Partnership develops cross-industry framework conditions, international standards and improves technologies for clean, safe and everyday hydrogen mobility. The focus is on road transport and industrial logistics.
Dr Marcus Merkel, Executive Director of the Clean Energy Partnership, says: “The addition of Poppe + Potthoff brings further valuable expertise to the partnership, which is crucial for the development of technical standards in the CEP and the design of regulatory frameworks. This contributes significantly to establishing and scaling sustainable hydrogen mobility in road and rail transport as well as in industrial logistics.”
Christian Willem, Innovation & Strategy at Poppe + Potthoff, explains: “As specialists in high-pressure applications, we see enormous potential in hydrogen technology. Through our membership in the CEP, we want to actively contribute to the prerequisites for market ramp-up – coherent framework conditions, scalable systems across various use cases, and standards and norms for cost-effective, safe and everyday hydrogen mobility.”
